When
you are working out how many phone/data sockets are required
it is worth specifying a few spares. This will help accommodate
for new staff in the future and/or office furniture re-orgs.
Don't forget that POT devices such as fax machines, answer machines,
PDQ machines etc will all need a socket.
Approach the subject just as you would if an electrician
was fitting new power points in your house, you may not use
every single one but it is usually convenient to have a selection
of points to choose from.
